six_crazy_guys:

You know you are totally abusing Navigation Pop-ups when you hover over every link everywhere to see what's on the page.

That's exactly what I do, though

Ah, thank god I'm not the only one who's doing that -- it drives me crazy not to be able to "preview" every link on the web!

Damn that Lupin....he's spoiled the Internet for me, the brute...

(Now if I can just get him to program a special "what was this edit" preview for hovering over "diff"/"last" links, I'll be set....but I can stop anytime I want, really I can.)

Oh YES, oh YES I want that too.

I did get a listing of stub templates, though.

Ask and ye shall receive -- Lupin has now added "diff"/"last" previews to the development version, and they're shweet! Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:POP#Development_version ....

Yeah, I was the one who actually asked how to install it. I'm positively thrilled.

I hovered over the link in your post and was annoyed that nothing popped up!

Hahaha! So people do use it! The preview actually annoys me, I only like Popups for the handy menus they have.

See the Options: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation_popups#Options)

To disable the previews, you can add one of two lines to your User:USERNAME/monobook.js, just below the rest of the Popup script.

simplePopups=true;
(No data will be downloaded and the popups will just consist of a list of links.)

OR

popupPreviews=false;
(Does not display preview)

Not sure what the difference is, as I like the previews myself, but try it both ways and see what you like. Hope that helps your experience.

(My favorite thing about Nav previews -- you can copy from them! Brilliant when you're writing and article, and just want the proper spelling/capitalization for a link. Type in the most likely candidate, preview, hover, and if it's a redirect or dab page, copy the correct link from the preview box and paste it into the edit box. So fast!)

Oh, I actually use them sometimes, because of the FixDabs features that I find immensely useful! But what I really like about popups is one-link revert. No administration access needed! ♥

Here, my options:
popupDelay = 2;
popupFixDabs = true;

If abusing navigation pop-ups is wrong, I don't want to be right!
